Kohatians Foundation have put together a team of staff (one doctor, one LHV and one dispenser and three medical students who have agreed to volunteer and to help the team in data entry and to manage the pharmacy) to be based in areas around Totakan (Malakand Division) for a week. KF is paying the staff an agreed rate. The team is being provided boarding/lodging facilities by KF in the residence of a local influential.
This team left early morning Thursday 5th August with the Mobile unit with medicines from WHO and other supplies. The team is using the DEWS forms developed by WHO and MoH and a specifically designed MIS form to capture and report the data. KF will share the report and data collected. KF has also requested Dr Sahibzada Mahmood Noor, a well qualified Dermatologist (Assistant Professor, Lady Reading Hospital) to assess the situation related to skin related complaints to try and determine the cause.
